Fantasia Music School (Croydon) focuses on student excellence – we strive to achieve a deeper understanding of music. In our school, every student gets a chance to perform!

Led by our founders, Benjamin and Crystal, all our staff are passionate musicians and educators, who believe strongly that music has a positive influence on each and every single person.

We aim to enrich all our students’ lives with an exciting musical experience each time they visit the school.

We are an accredited AMEB exam venue; exams will take place in our studios and students can rehearse at their own pace.

Fantasia Music School provides regular music performance events for our students and teachers. String students will be rostered to play in our fortnightly mini-concerts. Piano Students will play at the Chatswood Branch which is equipped with a concert grand piano and professionally set up auditorium.

We can be easily reached by public transport – just a few steps from the bus stop for the 461N (Burwood to City Hyde Park), and the 530 (Chatswood to Burwood)

There is plenty of free street parking on Acton street

The strings faculty

Specialised in teaching beginners who are SERIOUS about violin, fast and solid progression.

Specialised in teaching students from medium (AMEB 5th-8th) to performance level (CMusA, AMusA, LMusA)

Helping students with competitions and private school scholarship application (successful examples: PLC Concord, Scots, Trinity, Sydney Grammar, etc.)

Led by the director/head of strings Crystal Gu, Fantasia (Croydon) features a wide range of string programs during school terms and holidays.

Practice lessons provided whenever there is need! Practice teacher and principal teacher communicate closely to ensure teaching consistency.

String ensemble programs in small groups, rehearsing and performing regularly. All string students could choose an ensemble program to join when enrolling for instrumental lessons with the tutor’s guidance.

Strong piano faculty

Led by the director Benjamin He, Fantasia (Croydon) offers tailored approach for every student from beginning to advanced level.

Our studios are equipped with professional grand pianos and 1-on-1 tuition.

Teachers make individual programs for each student based on their different levels and understanding. We make sure that all students are well matched to our teachers, and through an effective student-teacher relationship our students are able to learn quickly and efficiently.

Our teachers choose from teaching methods like Bastien (recommended by AMEB) and Piano Adventure, and are very familiar with AMEB ABRSM, TRINITY teaching systems.

Achievements of our students range from AMEB (Australian Music Examination Board) exams through to various competitions and Eisteddfods Sydney wide.

We assist ambitious students who are aiming at private school scholarship, performance level exams, HSC music exams, and music college auditions, etc.
